Whilst gasoline and diesel dominate the market place as the standard
fuels for the internal combustion engine, environmental, safety
and commercial pressures have renewed interest in the use of alternate
fuels. Gaseous fuels such as compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquid
petroleum gas (LPG) are seen as a solution in some markets to the
pressures of imported crude, whilst other sectors such as the naval
services seek to standardise on a single fuel policy.

experience with both CNG and LPG. With its direct injection technology,

use of “heavy” fuels such as JP-5 on conventional engine
