Orbital's commercial activity in the Alternative Fuel systems market is via both Orbital Autogas Systems (OAGS), and more recently, through the addition of Sprint Gas.

OAGS developed and markets the next generation of LPG systems, the "Liquid LPG" systems, supplied to Ford Australia for the "EcoLPi" vehicles, as an option for Holden Special Vehicle performance products and to the aftermarket. The Liquid LPG system offers unrivalled performance addressing the previous drawbacks of the older LPG systems of smell, poor cold start, and loss of low speed power. Sprint Gas is a major wholesale distributor of LPG and CNG systems for the Australian aftermarket. In May 2011, Orbital acquired a 55% stake in Sprint Gas.
